‘Beyond Democracy’ (Karsten/Beckman)
Beyond Democracy: Why democracy does not lead to solidarity, prosperity and liberty but to social conflict, runaway spending and a tyrannical government (Paperback)
The first chapters in ‘Beyond Democracy’ thoroughly invalidate a good dozen myths surrounding democracy that western media and education have systematically been spreading these last few decades. The ‘God of the enlightened people’ is being stripped to the bone and the libertarian authors probably enjoyed themselves immensely in doing the filleting. Furthermore, the book analyzes current political problems and it finishes with a concise perception of the future.
‘Beyond Democracy’ is well structured and – in spite of its limited size – presents an integral argument.
It’s one of these few little books that I hope all free-minded people will one day read.
